Made up my own songs for each special occasion
Really didn't matter to my kids what we sang, we just loved to sing and dance - now, at 11 my oldest is embarrased when I do this.

You Are My Sunshine is what I have sang to my children ever since they were babies (they are 7 and 9 now). They both love it, and when I feel "down" my lil girl will come and sing it to me ..

I have always loved music, and although, I'm not a singer, I sang to them all their lives.....still do on occasion. I sang old songs from my past that I heard as a young fella growing up, like "If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with," or Percy Sledge, "When a man loves a woman". My kids all love music, and especially " the oldies".

Then, when he was a little older,
he used to sing along to 'Achy Breaky Heart', so I would sing that to him.

my kids love a mouse lived in a windmill and one from disneys tarzan at bedtime ,youll be in my heart (not sure if thats actually what its called) and chiqitita by abba. we love singing!
