I learned many at school, like London Bridge is falling down...

friends I would have to say "Thats what friends are for" because it was a sweet song about friendship

I had many favorites but I can't think of them at the moment, and I wonder if Alzheimers has set in .. LOL

My parents used to sing Blue eyes crying in the rain by Willie Nelson.. and some Freddie Fender song of "Nothing as cold as ashes, after the fire is gone"..

We used to sit around the dinner table while my dad picked the guitar and we would all sing.---all of the family members would find their voice and harmony.. that was cool

Which songs remind you of your childhood?

"Ring a round the rosie, a pocket full of posie, ashes, ashes, we all fall DOWN!"
Sesame Street songs
Barney sing-a-longs

Which ones did your parents sing to you?

The ol' 'Rock-a-by Baby', Twinkle Twinkle Little Star,

Which ones did you learn at school?

"The ants go marching one by one, hoorah! Hoorah!"
"Down by the banks of the hanky panky, where the bull frogs jump..."

And with your friends?

We sang along with Barney and Big Bird in little get togethers at my friend's house. We absolutely LOVED Lion King! "I'm gunna be a mighty king! Like no one else before!"

Which were (are) your favorites?

The Ants Go Marching Song, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Just Can't Wait to Be King, Akuna Matata... so many.

Any good stories?

My friends and I would pretend we were the lions from the Lion King in my friend's backyard. We would incorporate Pocahontas into it somehow, and then Robin Hood. I was always Robin Hood. :) I had a bow and 'plunger' sort of thing. One time, I shot it at the house, and it stuck on the window right next to the cat. It howled and scampered away, and my friends and I were bawling our eyes out.

Memories?

Too many, and yet they are slowly fading away every day.. :(

I'm going back to '70/'71, I was 4 or 5 ,used to go to a campsite near home. They had a ($0.05) jukebox in the pavillion,I remember my older cousins playing this song over and over.I 'm not sure if this is the title or who the artist is...

Cherokee People

"Cherokee people,cherokee tribe"
"So proud to live, so proud to die"

I believe that was the chorus. Thanks for bringing this memory back.

my parents brought me up listening to bob segar.
i listened to pearl jam in kindergarden, loved the song "Jeremy" all the other kids made fun of me becasue they thought it was wierd music.
didn't have any real friends, i started getting into queen and aerosmith at the age of 9.
i went through a rap phase, i was done and over it by 14, then got into real music, metal music.
i remember sitting around listening to the same cd over and over and over untill i knew the entire thing by heart..for most of my teen years, i knew deep down i wanted to be a singer, i was afraid of failure, about a year ago i got the courage to play guitar, it's going well, i sing, play guitar and write songs.
