My 8 month old eats about 2-3 oz. of formula mixed with cereal and half a jar of fruit for breakfast, half a jar of fruit and half of veggies for both lunch and dinner, and if she is hungry before bedtime, maybe a little more cereal, without the fruit. She has a 6 oz bottle before mid-morning nap, maybe another 4-6 for her afternoon nap and then another before bedtime. She sleeps thru the night and is a good eater. My 4 1/2 year old was the opposite, but he eats very well now. They are both long and lean for their age group. My daughter also likes a bit of ice cream and mashed potatoes with gravy. They say not to start chewable table foods until closer to a year of age when they have more teeth and are able to sit upright withtout wobbling or falling over. You are right, every child and parent is a different case, and you have the right idea to not compare them to others. All that will accomplish is stress for you and preesure on them.

I can't remember with my older son (he's almost 2 1/2) but my 11 month old ate about what yours does when he was 8 months old. Four 6 oz. bottles per day (this includes one in the middle of the night), maybe 1/4 c. cereal (mixed with water) and 1/2 jar of stage one fruit for breakfast; a jar of meat and jar of stage 1 veggies for lunch and the same for dinner. He had his bottles between meals. He also had a sippy cup of formula (1 - 2 oz.) with each meal.

I started breakfast lunch and dinner around 7 months. After each meal 4 oz of formula. The total amount of formula at that age she would drink was about 24-26 oz in a day.

Your baby is 8 months old and should be eating regular food now. Jar food and formula aren't enough any more.
There are finger foods that are good. Your babe should be trying to feed herself now. Start her out with string beans that are really soft and some carrots. There are finger foods that can also come in jar's, made just for babies.
You might notice a big change once you start letting your baby feed herself. She might really enjoy it. There will be a mess to clean up after wards but it is a learning experience for her.

My 8 a million/2 month previous daughter nonetheless eats usually jarred 2nd ingredients, for breakfast she has cereal mixed with fruit and juice, for lunch greens and grains or dairy, and dinner meat, greens and greater fruit. She does not do nicely yet with table nutrition even once I puree it , different than jarred nutrition the only issues she would be in a position to consume are , little products of wheat bread, cheerios broken in 0.5 . tiny products of gentle cheese, and she or he loves vegatable mum mums ( they sell them at Walmart interior the newborn section)

My baby is breastfed and wasn't interested in solids until she was almost 9 months. She is ten months now and only eats a small amount of solid foods. She went on a ten day nursing strike recently and seemed to be eating constantly!!!

at 8 months. lunch and dinner: my daughter had 1oz of veggy baby food, 1oz of fruit baby food, and 4oz of formula. she would have 1oz of juice mixed in with 1oz of water for part of her snack once a day.
when she was 10months old. breakfast: 2oz of infant cereal/oatmeal and then she get's 5oz of formula if she doesn't eat it all and 4oz if she does eat it all. then she has her morning nap between 10:30am and 11am.
lunch and dinner: i fed her 1oz each of two diff. kinds of stage 3 baby food dinners, 1 in a half oz. of yobaby yogurt for dessert, and 1oz of juice mixed in with 1oz of water for lunch @ 12pm. and at 2pm i give her 6oz of formula. then it's her afternoon nap. for dinner same thing as wat she had for lunch but no juice. 2 hours later, i give her 6oz of formula with infant cereal in it, and then it's her bedtime.
she's 11months now. and we still do that routine.
