In most cases, the answer is NO. You don't show as soon as you would if you were an average weight or even over weight. Some skinny women don't show until there in there 6th month.
Most women tend to show before they should. They tend to gain to much weight to soon in the pregnancy. The doctor's only want you to gain up to 30 pounds and most of that weight you gain in the last trimester.
I hope this has helped.

I was 5'4 and 115 lbs. I didnt start showing until around the end of my 4th month. My friend was 5'3 and 105 lbs she started showing at 3 months. It all depends on the mother, how she eats, etc. Now I weigh 145 and im not showing yet (besides from the baby fat from my last baby which i cant seem to get rid of :( ) and im 13 almost 14 weeks.

It really depends on your body. Sometimes "showing" doesn't look like showing, it just requires an elastic waistband.
I have a friend who is tall & thin and didn't really show until almost her 3rd trimester. On the other hand, I'm a bit chubby and I showed right away. All the fat from my lower belly moved up on top of my uterus, making me look pregnant early on. Then again, this is my second pregnancy and the uterus has already been stretched out, so that might be a factor too.

Not neccessarily. I remember this one teacher from high school. She was an extremely small petite lady. I still remember her visiting after she went on her leave around maybe 7 or 8 month and still didn't look like she was pregnant. In christmas plays that the students put on we used to make fun on teachers with their permission. Of course students made fun on how skinny she was while pregnant but she still had a healthy girl.

my baby sister is 5.4 and before pregnancy was 115 lbs she wore a size 3 well at 8 months she was able to still wear her size 3's but under her barely noticable belly if she did not pull her shirt close to her belly you would of never know she was pregnant...It really all depends on the size of the baby her first son she blew up huge when she hit 8 months with her second she was medium but with her daughter she and last child she was so tiny if you meet her you would of never know she was pregnent..so the babies sizes tell how bi you will be her 1st was 10 lbs 24 inchs long, her 2nd was 8.7 and 22 inchs and her last 1 was 5.6 and 20 inchs long .......Good Luck and Congrats

Yes you would because there is less room for the baby so the only place for it to go is out or in the rib cage..
