Put the fractions across from each other:
3/4 x 1/2
(can't do it on the computer, but don't do the slash line; write the 3 over the 4 and the 2 over the 3 to make it easier)
Then multipy normally straight across, the numerators-top numbers- (3 x 1) then the denominators-bottom numbers- (4 x 2).
The answer would be 3/8.
For info on how to multiply mixed fractions (2 2/3 x 4 1/2), how to cancel before multiplying, etc. check out the link below:

Very simply, multiply the numerators and place in the numerator, then multiply the denominators and place in the denominator. For example:

2/3 * 4/5 = 2*4 / 3*5 = 8 / 15

To show the method symbolically:

a/b * c/d = a*b / c*d

OK this is something that i could help u with in easy form! You would first have to write the problem out ex: 2/7*4/5=? Then you would have to multiply the dominators together (bottom numbers) ex: 7*5=35 You would then write your answer in the denominator spot of the answer! ex: 2/7*4/5= /35 Then you would multiply the numerators together (top numbers) ex: 2*4=8 Then you would have to put your answer in the numerator spot of the answer! ex: 2/7*4/5=8/35!

A fraction is written with a number on top and a number on the bottom with a line in between. To multiply two fractions you multiply the top numbers separately and the bottom numbers separately. The result is another fraction with one new number on top and one new one on the bottom.

Multiply the numerators across and the same with the denominators. Then reduce the fractions, if you can. :)

Multiply the numbers on top to get your numerator answer. Then multiply the numbers on the bottom to get your denominator answer. Then reduce if possible.
