My daughter said when this happened to her, it was simply heat rash. She said most of the calls she get at Kaiser is for people with the same symptoms and they usually have it too. How hot is it where you are? She said it just went away. But you may want to call your family doctor.

You didn't give many details, but from the sounds I bet you touched something and then touched your face, or ate something that you might be allergic to. Try washing your hands and face thoroughly with a soap that isn't harsh. Pat dry, don't rub. Try to think of what you ate the last couple of hours that might be a new food or drink for you. You could take some benedryl (read what dose you would need for your age and weight on the box).
Sorry I just saw it is your nephew, but what I said would apply for him too :) Good luck.

It could be a number of things. For one, it could be caused by a fungus, such as ringworm. It could also be an allergic reaction to something you're eating. It could also be exzema which is only treatable, but not cureable.
I would do a yahoo search under body rash, then narrow the site selections to what describes your condition.

You probably have scratched it and then touched another part of your body. That way the germs can spread all over your body in a second. Take many showers or baths so the germs can wash away.

Sounds like hives to me. They are usually caused by eating something that you were allergic to. I once got them after eating at a chineese restaurant. I went to the doctor and he gave me prednisone and that took care of it.

with children it can be allergies or even heat. you need to call the doctor just in case. you most likely won't have to take him in but they can tell you what to put on him if its just a rash etc.
