I'm on my way to getting my AA right now and I'm wondering if it even really makes a difference having it? and if so, what are the benefits?

I am still planning on getting my bachelors, but wondering if having an AA is more helpful than nothing at all.

Any type of degree or certification improves your chances over those who don't have it. An AA is also a good stepping stone to a Bachelor's...and sounds like it's a good short-term goal for you. As an individual who has to hire people periodically, if an individual is over 25 and doesn't have a degree or certification of any sort, I put their resume aside. I worked full time, had a full time job, and helped support a household and still managed to find time to improve myself with education. So, I expect the same of those who will work for me.

Having your AA is good, but getting a bachelor's degree is better and getting your masters is even better.
AA is half way to a bachelor's degree...its worth it going another 2 years

No. No it doesn't. It's not enough to qualify you for the good jobs you could get with a Bachelor's, but it makes it harder to get lesser-paying jobs too, because you seem over-qualified. Nobody wants an employee who's smarter than they are, except certain government officials.

Better than what?

Better than not having any education? Yes it does.

Better than someone with a BA or BS? Nope.
