I've been looking for this movie for ages, I was really little when I saw it, so I can't remember details. All I remember was that there was ventriloquist dummies that were alive and I think there was some sort of green slime/blob thing.
There were these sheets of slime that dripped down from the ceiling and it might have been set at a carnival.

I might be way off, but that sounds something like "Puppet Master." I saw that when I was a little kid too so I dont remember all the details, but I remember some killer ventriloquist dummies...(I think!?!)

Are you talking about "Magic" with Anthony Hopkins? He was a ventriloquist with a dummy named "Fats" that would kill.
