So when girls show that they remember it means they want to show that they care a lot.

I think because girls communicate emotions more. They like to know what others are thinking and feeling about certain things (for example about the fact that you've been married for 12 years) and they like to express their own feelings and thoughts about those things. Men are content to think or feel whatever they do without expressing it to anyone else and they are not really bothered about finding out what we think or feel about it as long as we're not complaining.

Women are more social then men. Generally, girls develop social skills (like verbal communication) at an earlier age than boys.

b/c girls are more emotional than guys. they've gotten into their heads (thanks to media and girls) that they shouldn't have emotion and therefore don't care all that much about holidays after a certain age.
