Every answer I have read so far has been a good one, but have any of you seen "Irreversible"? The scene in hich Monica Bellucci is raped in the pedestrian underpass is so disturbing I could barely watch it. It's not pretty. It's not supposed to get you aroused. It's truly horrifying...but they achieved something I have never seen in a typical hollywood film...a sex scene that didn;t seem "staged".
I know, I'll get attacked for praising this...but the way its shot can't be denied.

"A History of Violence" with Viggo Mortensen! The scene in the bedroom and the one on the stairs with his wife made me question if the movie was rated "R"!!!!
