All kidding aside, perhaps it'll be the "the big two" and no longer the big three. It's possible Ford or GM could snuff it, most likely GM, as Ford is getting very aggressive with it's dual power vehicles.
In 2010, I see yet another puffed up poser as Mayor, or maybe the same one. The city falling further into decline...along with the 'burbs surrounding it. Maybe you'll be able to get a huge house for the price of a bungalow, as those with a need/desire for this type of home had long since moved where there's money to be made.
Maybe you'll go to Ikea and find your former boss working there.

Just to the north of Canada. Roads that have more holes and bumps than any other city. More slums. Less car plants. Tigers have won a World Series. The Pistons 2 more NBA championships. The Red Wings with 1 more Stanley Cup. The Lions still hoping to get past the first game of the playoffs.

In the same place where it is now, though probably smaller.

I think it'll end up like Flint. In a few years, unless something's done to it, Flint will be a ghost town. The whole Mitten is going downhill except for the Grand Valley area and Mackinac.

Probably in the same place it is now, cities are pretty difficult to move. Just a bit bigger, maybe spewing out a few more rappers.... I doubt it will fall into the nearest great lake.

Hey, I'm from Canada, and we dont want it either!

Go see America: Freedom to Fascism. http://freedomtofascism.com. It opens nationwide in theatres on July 28th. It is written and directed by the guy that produced "Trading Places" with Eddie Murphy and Dan Akroyd.

This will give you a good idea of the answer to your question.
