Yes, you are so right...they are referring to a math exam being scheduled for the afternoon rather than the morning!! (y'ok) Sure brings back memories - um, er of singing it with friends while camping...(1976 - Starland Vocal Band) - actually, the singers were quite good with excellent harmony, control and range...very catchy tune...funniest thing I've ever seen in relation to this song was Matt Damon in 'Good Will Hunting'; when he's 'waking up' after being supposedly put in a trance/sleep by the doctor and starts singing the song!
