Hiya

Yes its a childs book, but they are also designed for adults also.

Although jk has never made any gay relationships shown within the book, there are people who have explored possible relationships.

the most popular i have seen discussed most is the relationship between sirius and lupin. although within later books we learn of the attraction between lupin and tonks, the possbile matching of sirius and lupin is very popular. i think it is because of the portrayal in the 3rd film where we first meet lupin and sirius. they are close and even snape mentions them being like an old married couple.

so although i dont think there are any gay couplings in the hp books i can certainly see how some friendships could be viewed as more than just friends.

None of them are Gay! Thats for sure. Even if there are some names taken here by some answers, The Harry Potter series is not going in that direction. Its totaly for fun and enjoyment in a family way. No gays!

I reckon that Percy Weasley could well be gay. Even though he was all over that girl in the 3rd? book, his actions towards his superiors may well be suggestive that he likes the dominative male and will probably end up wearing a gimp mask in the final book, attached to Lord Voldemort by a leash.

The closest that I can think of is Hugh Mitchell character, Colin Creevey. The way that he "stalks" Harry could be twisted to be slightly homosexual.

Considering the books are mainly set in a children's boarding school they'd have to be pheadophiles. So I reckon, no, there's none, but that won't stop people from trying to find eveidence there are.

I've read them all very closely and never got a sniff of any gay shenanigans. You never know though, high school's not a great place for coming out.

Yes, Harry Potter. He is the gayest. (He just needs to come out of the closet)
