I have assigned one ip say(203.129.208.2 on mine router as WAN ip(as mine gateway is .1)
subnetted with /30.and on mine LAN IP i have assigned 203.129.208.5 as router's LAN IP and on one of my PC i have assigned 203.129.208.6 as subbnetted with /30 . ON my PC I have default gateway 203.129.208.5 and in router I have default IP route(gateway of last resort) on WAN ip port i.e 0.0.0.0/0.

Now the problem is that :
I can ping and trace each ip (MY PC IP too) and any website from mine router but when i try to ping from mine PC( Win 2000 server) I am unable to do so ,only I can ping mine gateway ip and mine WAN Ip i.e .2 and .5.

Can anybody tell me where is the problem?

I have got 203.129.208.0/28 subnet from the ISP and now i want to terminate that link in mine router. So i have 203.129.208.1 gateway to the ISP router, therefore I have subnetted 203.129.208.0 in three subnets i.e 203.129.208.0/30,203.129.208.4/30 and so on.

Now I have terminated the ISP Link on mine one of ethernet port of the router and given 203.129.208.2 /30 on that port (as WAN ip) and put Office LAN on another ethernet port of the router with 203.129.208.5 /30 on that port now i have attached a PC to that LAN port with IP 203.129.208.6/30 and put gateway to 203.129.208.5(LAN PORT of the router)

also i m not able to ping 203.129.208.1(ISP router) from source IP 203.129.208.5 while i m able to ping with source ip 203.129.208.2 i.e mine WAN ip therfore might be a problem of noncommunication b/w LAN port to WAN port, bt i have also given gateway of last resort to WAN Ip(203.129.208.2)

First of all why do you have a static ip adress in your WAN if that is your Internet connection. you say you have your Routers Ip adress set to 203.129.208.5. Ok you have that setup so you can have access to it. You have a conflict there or i am not understanding why you say you you a wan of 203.129.208.2 or 203.129.208.5. which one is it. be a bit more specific. I suggest you set your Router's ip adress to 203.129.208.1. And ever of your LAN ip adress set to 203.129.208.x and the gateway of 203.129.208.1. Leave the WAN open because if you have internet access that WAN should be coming in automaticly for you. Since your running a server make sure you didnt setup those static up adress on both the network cards on your pc since it is a server also disable DHCP server if your not using that on both the Server pc and the Router. Just be a bit specific and i will try to help you more.

Do a tracert to a web site and see if it stops at the .1 gateway, or somewhere else.

The face you can get to your gateway is significant. To me, this indicates that your setup is OK but your ISP may not be set up correctly. Can you ping using a source address of 203.129.208.5?

Basically if you can ping from your router, this only indicates that the 203.128.208.0./30 network is working. What seems to be the problem is that the 203.128.208.4/30 network is not working. The router is routing it otherwise you'd be unable to get to 203.128.208.1. Perhaps there are some old filters somewhere that are messing things up?
