My son just got a Bearded Dragon. It is a baby (about 5 inches). He got the lizard and cage and heat lamp and sand and driftwood and house and crickets (for food) for about $150.

I have 2 bearded dragons, they are very tame when handled frequently. They aren't really biters. I bought orange bearded dragons because they were different, they were shipped to me via FedEx. They both cost around a 100 dollars. I feed them mustard greens, romaine lettuce, the frozen veggie packets with the green beans, corn, and carrots. And about every 2 weeks I get them some crickets. Their food is fairly inexpensive, I spend probably 10 dollars a month on greens and veggies, and about 4 dollars a month on crickets. They are easy to care for, just make sure they have water, a heat lamp, and food every day. I line my tanks with sand too, which they make a sifter for so that I can clean them every week or so. Mine have been known to take off across the house, but mostly they just like sitting on the back of the couch looking out the window. They like to be held, but they are only good for about 20 minutes, then they want to move on.

you have to get bearded dragon we had a iguana he passed away. However a family member gave us our first bearded dragon at first i didn't think i would like it much cuz i didn't care much of the iguana, they are sooo much fun after we found that they were so much fun we got another one. With the iguana he got sooo big we almost had to make a full room just for him with the dragons they are ok in a 75 gal tank.

You do not want an iguana. They get 6-8 ft long and can be very dangerous. Not to mention that the size of the enclosure will need to be immense and they have specific dietary needs. Please look at the sites i gave.
Beardies on the other hand are awesome. I have a 2 yr old male. They are friendly, dont get as big, and are alot more easier to handle then an iguana.

hey are you copying me? lol
I have been researching them for a couple of months now because I want at least one. You can find them on line in faunaclassifieds.com but I think that it would traumatize the little guys to have them shipped to me, so I'm looking for a local shop that has them. No luck yet. They look like the coolest pets, and every pic I find of them they are totally chillin and sitting nicely in someone's hand. So tame. I REALLY want one.

Yes, my cousin does he's 18. He rescued it from a killing plantation. He's had it for 3 months and it's very tame. They cost around $100, and their year income costs about $500-1,000. They are very expensive.
Good Luck
