In basis training you must wear the whole uniform including underwear. After that nobody cares

I don't know about the other branches, but as an ex-Marine we had to wear regulation underwear that had to be labeled in a certain spot and even folded a certain way.

In basic, (and in theory, past then), you have to have everything regulation. Anything that isn't causes you to be considered out of uniform.

In the movies i've seen they don't seem to wear any underwear!

Some times it is up to your comander or first Sgt. in which most are cool about it. but there are so hard a** out there in which AR 670-1 you have to. As a Sgt. I don't care, there are more important things to worry about like training & equipment to save my soldiers A** out there...

I assume that it rather depends what branch of the services you're in and how high up. I know a few soldiers. I'll ask and get back to you...

dont wear any,in case you meet a nice guy it would be right handy if there was nothing in the road,,,,after all you could be in a war zone,it must be murder trying to get your tights and stuff of when some guy is trying to shoot you so go bareback ....at least i would

yes u have to wear regulation but they do give you the option of briefs or boxer briefs. not much difference. lmao
