MIX RED AND BLUE

2006-06-23 07:45:57 · answer #1 · answered by JULIE 7 · 6 0

Could be a harder question that it looks at first. Sure mix red and blue but they don't always mix true. Try magenta or a cool red with the blue. A warm red may yield a brown. If you are still having problems you may have to buy quinacra violet. The blue hue will also affect the violet or purple you get. If you are learning to paint, Have FUN! and experiment

Blue + Red

For a warmer purple add more red to the blue/red ratio.
For a cooler purple add more blue to the blue/red ratio.

To lighten the purple for a pastel affect, add a bit of white.
