I ahve a infected tooth, for quite some time now. My wife was pissed at me for not taking care of it sooner. She said that the infection could trvel to my heart and kill me. Well I do know that, but the killer thing was when she said "If something happens to you what am I going to do" If it were me I would have told her to please go and get it fixed so nothing happens to you. Can you see the diference? Am I right to be mad?

She laid a little guilt on you at all. Since nagging you to go hadn't gotten you to the dentist yet, she decided to try guilt to see if that gets you there.

Was her approach wrong? Maybe so. We learn such ways from our mothers.

However that doesn't mean that her heart isn't in the right place and that she's just plain scared for your health.

Go to the dentist. Get some happy pills. Get over it!

And kiss your wife!

It that's the worst grief you get from you mate, you have it really good!

Ah, Vanessa..see you're racking up time. Don't you know good little dubbie girls aren't supposed to play on the Internet? Now go confess to your elders and take your counseling!

Dude..ignore the watchtower crud. It's just bogus junk and she's on a recruiting mission.

I understand the difference, but if all else failed and I was worried about my husband, I'd lay on the guilt trip.

Maybe she thought that you didn't care enough to take care of yourself but that you'd rethink it if it concerned her.

My husband felt very guilty for one medication he has to take to stay awake. It was over $500 a month. It wasn't until I told him that it was totally worth it and if he didn't think so, to think of it this way: That we were each paying $100 in order for him to be an involved and awake father/husband. That we all benefitted from him taking those meds. He saw the light and started. Thankfully, we found another source for around $55 a month!

She loves you. She wants you to be healthy. Take care of it.

Why are men such cry babies (sorry for those of you who aren't)....

How old are you? It's not like you aren't an adult right? If it needs fixing - go get it fixed! I'm thinking that by her telling you that she couldn't go on without you means that she loves you and wants you healthy! - HELLO????? Does she need to draw it out for you?

Go to the freakin' dentist, get the tooth fixed and go on with life. Quit cryin' !

hi my name is james, your wife has every reason to want you (her husband) to get his tooth fixed, and every right to feel like(if something happens to you what am i going to do) now unless you have a couple million dollars stashed some where. yes she should feel like this.

listen i only been married 5 years, but i consider my wife's feelings in everything i do. including getting my tooth fixed

good luck

james

Well that depend on if she told you to go take care of it and you refused then no you don't have right to be mad she has the right to be mad at you but if she never suggested for you to go take care of it and then all of a sudden she is mad at you then thats not right and yes you should be upset but not mad.

You both need to read the article below. You both need to learn how to communicate effectively, whether you do it by going to a counselor or applying things that you read from reliable sources.

no, stop overreacting! Stop complaining and be the responsible man you are supposed to be. She was just saying that she wouldn't know what to do with herself or she will just be so upset with her situation that she wouldn't know how to deal with it? That wasn't selfish at all.
