Get off the dang computer, you can be hit NOW, just being on here.Where is your brain? Doesn't your brain tell you, not to be on the phone lines or in the shower or out side playiong when a bad storm is near?

You are reasonably safe in the house, away from the windows, don't touch electronic equipment like the phone, switch off the tv, and other such accesories, till the storm passes.

The bathroom. If need be, get inside the tub or shower.
My house was hit by lightning a few months ago. It is scary, but you'll be okay :-)
