When you believe in God as far as the Holy Bible is concerned, you must also believe in the enemy of God which is Satan and his demons.
Nightmares are demon-inspired. The only way to get rid
of them is to wrap yourself in the Word of God and ask God to help you to get rid of these demons that torment you. If I had nightmares I would listen to soothing Christian music at all times and especially before I went to bed. As a matter of fact, I'd have it on while I slept.
Satan hates that atmosphere.
Create an atmosphere of God's Love so much that Satan says "I can't stand this. I better go find someone else to bug".
Read your Bible out loud before going to bed.
And when it looks like things aren't improving fast enough for you, don't doubt. God sees what you're going through
and He will answer your request when He believes it's the best time. If you have anything in your bedroom that is even slightly satanic such as worldly music with horrible lyrics or books that are even slightly evil, get rid of them.
The devil has a right to be in a home that has his material in it. Stay away from the occult.
Trust in God and live for God and He will help you.

For the most part you get out what you put into your mind. Dreams are, for the most part, a continuation of your thought processes. If you want nice dreams you must guard your heart and mind. It is written in the Bible that we must seek whatever is good, pure, wholesome, commendable, and godly. In these things we are to dwell. A reoccurring nightmare may be a warning from God. Learn to separate what is simply your imagination from what pertains to reality.
This should help you a great deal.

Are these recurring nightmares? If so, you are not addressing an issue in your awake life. When you next have the dream, try to explore it objectively for some answers. You may find that there are symbols in your dream that apply to your wakeful life and circumstances. Sometimes just identifying these symbols is enough to make these dreams end.

There is no cure for nightmares. a nightmare is just a portal to a future time that can be changed or is just a warning to you. there is no reason to think that a nightmare is just total horror if you can ever make it to the end it does have a positive result.

A nightmare is only the bodies way of dealing with a problem you cannot deal with in reality. The mind conjours up images to try and make you face up to what you have been putting off.

Nightmares can be bad thoughts on your sleep , or , something that your memory still remember at sleeping hours. Bad experiences
and life problems are accumulative if we don't solve them , and they are store in that part of the unconcious. My best remedy and it work out was when i became a Christian , since then , nightmares were gone. Thanks.

Different for everyone. For me, if I face it when I'm awake, the nightmares lessen gradually. However, for some of us nightmares are par for the course. They won't completely go away.

I read that if you're having nightmares that you should close your eyes and imagine different colored balloons floating above you and focus on imagining different colors. I tried it a couple times and it worked. I don't remember what doing this does to your brain but it worked for me.
