I remember as a teenager going to watch another film (can't remember what one) at the cinema and Dream House was an accompanying film. Who starred in it and was it ever released as a mainstream film in its own right?

There was a chick flick called Dream House in the 80's starring Bo from the Dukes of Hazzard. He stalked this woman, buying her puppies and built her a house in an alley. Does that count as horror?
