I'm sure Kennedy didn't mean to do it.
Nevertheless, he was drunk and left her to die.
Because he could, he is royalty, with more rights than everyone else. He's a Kennedy.

Good question...I find it infuriating that several members of the Kennedy family have gotten away with murder, rape, alcohol or drug related driving incidents repeatedly. Kennedy has a nephew who crashed his car at 3am, drunk and high, but was not cited and given a ride home from a police supervisor. He just agreed to check into a rehab center to avoid prosecution.

I find it ironic that Ted Kennedy has a dog named "Splash."

Anyone else would have done time. Some poor boy in Texas would have done 2-5 just for leaving the scene.

The only good thing is that we've had Ted bottled up in Boston all these years.

Corkie,

No...That was not all Kennedy's fault. When the threat came along, Kennedy turned to his advisors for guidance. They said go for it, that it was the right thing to do. In Kennedy's heart, he didn't want to do it, but having hired all of these advisors to help him run the administration, he chose to go forward. That's how thousands were killed. Kennedy knew it was wrong. JFK is a much better person than EMK, anyway.

Mafia connections, Mass. elite, etc.

I just think it's cool you're a girl with a gun.

And to the guy above me, your link clearly states "neither driver was drinking." So how do you compare the two?

You mean how did his family earn enough money to buy off the police and politicians? I think they made their money in bootlegging.
