100% it's Christmas. Even for the people who are of other religion this time is very special and kids wait for presents.
Every country in the world celebrates it in its own way.

It's a solid tie between Christmas and New Years.

Christmas is celebrated by Christians for religious reasons, and by other beliefs just as a popular holiday with a guy named Santa Clause.

When I was in Europe, it was very entertaining to see the different ways people celebrated Christmas.

However the most shocking place I've seen Christmas was Malaysia!! This is not a Christian country, but they can sure give Americans a run for the money when it comes to commercial part of the holiday. The malls sure 'decked the halls', and non religious Christmas music was being played everywhere.

New Years is celebrated almost everywhere, but on different dates. The Chinese hands down beat out everyone else when it comes to bringing in this holiday. Their celebration lasts 14 days! Lots of red decorations, fire works, lion dances...

If you count the population of China, it pushes New Years right up there with Christmas when you are talking world population.

Good question. Maybe V.E. Day, Victory in Europe Day ?
That's the day Nazi Germany fell.
And wth Russia and most countries in the European Union celebrating it, that would be a lot of people celebrating the same thing on the same day.
I would say Christmas, but it is celebrated on different days.
