No No, I'm not pregnant nor bleeding. it was just a general question. Just wanted some information. In another words, I've heard about having periods during pregnancy, but I know it isn't true, but the bleeding factor is still a mystery to me.

When a women first gets pregnant she might spot a little around the time she should have her period. Other than that one time, there should be no bleeding.
The first time I got pregnant, about 5 weeks after I started to bleed. It was like a normal period. At 6 weeks I had a miscarriage. If a women bleeds while pregnant, there is a really good chance she is going to lose the baby. Sometimes if there is bleeding and the doctor catches it soon enough, they can give the women some med's to stop it from happening.
I hope this has helped.

Having periods and being pregnant is not unusual. It happen to me and a few of my friends. In my last pg I had my periods for 3 months, but one of my frinds had hers for up to second half of pg. Most woman have light bleeding or spotting during the time when their normal menstrual cycle would be, if not pregnant. During this time there is the biggest risk of miscarriage. But for most pg women bleeding is a sign to be extra cautious, because something is not right. Best wishes - Robin

While some spotting in the early stages of pregnancy is normal, any vaginal bleeding should be reported to your caregiver.
