I fish for Bowfin they are very tuff fish to land and they are true fighters. Bowfin's are edible but not often consumed, due to high chemicals such as mercury. Go to this website below and it will give you all the information on consuming Bowfin, and recipes.

Yes, they are edible, but they are really nasty tasting.

Well, all fish with fins and scales are. Says so in the Bible. Most of the rest are but they're not as nice as the fin and scale ones. One or two fish are poisiones like the puffer fish.
