There are thousands of websites that teach english for free. Its hard to teach english over the internet because I think the best way for a person to speak english without an accent is to use it everyday. If I spent time in Spain, and I ONLY had spanish friends, I would be forced to learn it. I would interact with them and talk to them and practice. You cant really do that online.
English has a lot of slangs and double meanings. Its hard to learn english and to learn to speak it the right way if they do not have human contact. They need to be able to look at facial expressions and they need to practice. Practice makes perfect.
Almost all search engines have a domain for a different language nowadays. It made it too easy for people to go to a site where they can understand their own language. I dont think a person who wants to learn english will be able to follow the steps easily since if they are online, then they are most likely going to have to read english. Also, the internet made things too lazy for us. We dont need drive-thrus anymore, we can get everything online these days, so I dont think people would want to spend their free time trying to learn english online...whether its free or not.

Sean is almost right; also the person who said that ppl are stupid enough to pay for anything.
BUT, they will not pay for something they can get for free (i.e. a site to take English lessons), nor will they work their *** out to obtain some knowledge of a foreign language.
IF you want them to pay, you have to promise a world wide accepted certificate/diploma of their knowledge; Only this could attract some losers...

Maybe, but why reduce your accent? People with accents are more attractive, in a lot of people's opinions.
