Green is associated with many interesting things besides money it is also the color of magic and intelligence. Green is also a very balanced color made up of a warm color (Yellow) and a cool color-(Blue)

The difference is in the wavelenght of light. Things that are green(that is, reflect green) tend to absorb red. That's why the plant are green.

because our eyes' cone cells recept only blue (short wavelength), green (medium wavelength), and red (long wavelength), all the other colours are combinations of the those three colours. medium wavelengths are the easiest to be recognized by the cone cells, therefore green is the easiest colour for the brain to process. so you don't like green only because it's present everywhere in nature, but because your brain is a bit 'lazy' and prefers the easiest colour he can perceive.
