StLLady is giving you your first clue. The e-mail needs to provide some sort of reassurance that the file does not contain viruses, Trojan horses, etc--that the file is trustworthy and that the organization/person sending it is trustworthy.

The challenge is that there is a lot of mistrust as users become more savvy.

This is called social engineering. The key is to know something about your target. Do they like jokes? Do they want to make money? Do they like to shop? Are they vain?
You think about that and I'm sure you will figure it out.

sex sites get the most hits on the web. so i suggest you tell them it has something to do with sex. why tell the truth. no other advertiser does. :)
