bad bad bad...but a necessary evil right? Just try to make healthier choices...and that doesn't always mean the salad.
Try just a cheeseburger instead of a big mack, or double, or anything bigger...small fries instead of the super size. It's all bad but might as well try not to be bad and eat 2000 calories at one meal.

Fast food places themselves are not bad, but some of the food they offer is. However, it is up to the buyer whether or not they purchase the bad food. Most fast food restaurants now offer healthier choices, like grilled chicken or salads.

That depends on how often and how much you eat fast food. I don't eat it very frequently and I'm under 100 lbs.

Mostly bad unless you get a salad all the time and take your own dressing. This has worked for me when I HAD to eat out. Hope this helps.

It's not the fast food places that are good or bad, it's the choices of food and drink you make while there!

Obviously, to be healthy about it, choose milk or tea instead of soft drinks or shakes/malts; choose single-patty burgers instead of doubles or triples; have sandwiches with lettuce, tomato, and onion on them; get them "dry" or with just ketchup and mustard on them instead of mayonnaise or dressing; choose salad (with low-fat or fat-free dressing) or a baked potato (with mustard instead of sour cream or butter) instead of fries; have fruit instead of sweets for dessert.

If you have chicken, get grilled or baked instead of fried. Ask for your fish without tartar sauce, and get baked instead of fried, if that's an option.

At breakfast, avoid croissants and biscuits, opt for English muffins or whole wheat. Choose Canadian bacon or ham instead of sausage or bacon. Avoid biscuits and gravy, pancakes loaded with butter and syrup, and those breakfast "bowls" with everything in them (meat, cheese, eggs, potatoes, gravy, etc.).

If, at any time, you do get fried food (French fries, sausage, potato cakes/tots, etc.) use napkins to squeeze as much grease as possible out of them before you eat them! I've read that it's possible to remove as much as 17 percent of the fat calories from these foods this way. It's not much, but if we insist on eating unhealthy foods, every little reduction helps!
