I say jump on Jon Lester 1st & Jered Weaver 2nd. I know Weaver has been sent down, but he'll be back into the Angels rotation soon enough.
Couple Lester w/ that Boston offense, I think you have a potential winner there. Just my opinion though.

Jon Lester would be the safe bet. He is, next to Papelbon, the best pitching prospect the Sox have. Jered Weaver is a million times better than his brother, and he's in the minors. I picked up Billingsley when he was called up, and he's done nothing but hurt my ERA/WHIP. Don't bother with Shields, either...Lester pitches for a potent Red Sox offense, so the run support is always there. The bullpen is excellent, so he would be the best choice. After him, go with Weaver. The Angels have to call him up sooner or later...check to see if Anthony Reyes of the Cards is available, as well.

All will suffer from inconsistency in their rookie campaigns. Jared Weaver will be up in the majors very soon but if you need production RIGHT NOW, avoid Weaver or stash him on your bench. Lester is shaky at times but has great stuff and Shields could be good if he wasn't a Devil Ray. Go after Chad Billingsley, you'll get a high K amount and a possibly sub 3.50 ERA.

Jered Weaver for sure...he'll probably be back up with the Angels very soon.
The other three are all young pitchers with significant upside. They'll likely be up and down all year, inconsistent as young pitchers are. A good idea might be to try and see which of these starters is going to throw against some of the more offensively challenged MLB teams and decide that way.

Man, grab Sheilds and Weaver. Shields has been strong so far, (he's a starter for the Rays, not the reliever for the Angels, which you already know. Some people should know something before answering.) and Weaver will be back when Santana gets traded.

If these are the only opions, pick up Lester and Weaver. Weaver will be back soon, so he is worth picking up.

I would go with Lester for sure since he isthat lineup behind him. After that I am not sure. Weaver was doing great, but was demoted (which was dumb, I think), but I would probably say go with Billingsley since LA has a good lineup and defense to back him up.
