Childcare center for a sick child while I go to a Booking or a gig?

Need in San Jose, Calif and in West Los Angeles: Does anyone know of a Childcare Center that will take a sick child with 101 fever or a cold/flu for 1 school day. Right now I always stay with my child but just incase one time I have a day where I have to choose to go to work or rent does not get paid, because working temp you will get fired if you say you're child is sick. I am a Single Mom and need a back up just in case I really have to for a day. Need in San Jose, Calif. now and in West Los Angeles when I move next year. I will be in the Acting business. Thank you.

Some clinics provide this. Check local clinics, or newspsper. Are they called Chicken Soup?
