yes and i think they have an easy path to the quarterfinal since they are meeting the winners of groupG ( I think ) and no one in that group is really much of threat to me.

Hmmm...I am happy for the newcomer coz I am fans of Sheva...But I don't think they are ready yet from the play they showed last night as Tunisia was robbed a clear penalty by the referee when he has a good view for Ukraine's Voronin from wall, touched the Free Kick ball with hand, and then a no contact fall from Sheva led to the game deciding penalty goal for Ukraine.
Maybe next year...

Sure. While I'm American, some of my ancestors were from the Ukraine. Not that the USA had much of a chance to advance, but I'l throwing my support behind the Ukranian team now.

I am from South Africa, purely African. So, I am not happy Ukraine won.

I am happy for Ghana though, even though they were in our group during the qualifications and beat us and qualified. If we went instead of them, with such a difficult group that they were in I don't think we would have scored any goal. Not even gotten a single point.

So what happens with the Ukraine after they are knocked out of the final match. What does that country do for excitement after that?

I couldn't be happier or more proud that UKRAINE won that game and advanced to the 16. They had an awesome team for years (Dynamo) and now have a chance to prove it Internationally. I wish them the best of luck.

Yup worked in Ukraine a few years back - lovely people - and Rebrob used to play for my team Spurs (not that he achieved much, but that was more down to the manager he played under).

PS - answered one of your older questions as well - good luck!!

Depends what you mean by "won"--that is, "playing like crap and getting saved by Sheva's dive", or...well, that's really the only way to describe what they did today. I'm peeved that Shevchenko's theatrics were rewarded; the Ukraine would have moved on even with the draw that Tunisia earned today.
