My daughter used to be so broke out and getting scars. We tried the complete Proactive and it cleared her up in under 2 months and now, 6 months later, her scars are almost gone.

I tried it, it didn't work. I went to the dermatologist and asked them why. I was told that people's skin differ from person to person, some have very acidic skin, some very basic. Proactiv is in the middle so that it works for a broader range of people. Therefore, if you are on the extreme side of acidic or basic, it probably won't work. You need to go to a dermatologist because a stronger medicine may be needed.

It ABSOLUTELY works, but was too expensive to keep up with. About 2 weeks after I stopped, my acne got bad again. There is a generic brand called ACNE FREE and it works just as well. Get it Wal Mart for half the price of Proactive

I hate proactive. It made my acne worse and it made my skin inflamed. We tried to take it back (because the claim, to have this 60 day guarantee) and they told us 'It's only been 45 day keep using it and it'll clear up.' Well 60 days later it didn't, we didn't get our money back. If your worried about acne, I'd recommend talking to your doctor first and see what he/she says.
Your doctor may recommend it, if not maybe they'll write you a prescription for something.

It SUCKS! It made my face burn and peel for a week after I stopped using it. I now use something a lot gentler. Purpose, by Johnson and Johnson. Dermatologist say it doesn't matter what you use. Don't get into the fads of face stuff. It is all to get your money.

i ordered it last summer, and it worked for a little while, but then i became allergic to the benzoyl peroxide in it. it made my skin itch & become puffy, & it does take a long time. i had to stop using it, but then i went to a dermatologist. i think that's your best bet. also, i've heard that it works for only a year on most people, and it can bleach your skin. and, it also gets expensive.
