I for one am not, but sad as it may be some are still slave in their mind. They think of themselves as black first instead of a simple human being. Also, some non-black can't accept the fact that they no longer are, so the answer to your question is yes but more figuratively than literally.

Well this all depends on what black person you are talkign to really. Many black people are still slaves, but not to human masters as in the old days. Many black people today are slaves to their community, slaves to their past, slaves to their own racial views, and overall slaves to themselves. This is not limited to blacks at all, but it is very prominent in that racial group. Others are showing signs of the same problem now as well. Slavery is alive and well, just in a slightly different form.

People who think any race is slaves are some very narrow minded people. This country would be a better country if everyone took some time to respect each other.

Modern-day slaves can be found laboring as servants or concubines in Sudan, as child "carpet slaves" in India, or as cane-cutters in Haiti and southern Pakistan, to name but a few instances. According to Anti-Slavery International, the world's oldest human rights organization, there are currently over 20 million people in bondage.

Prejudice has and always exist in our world, not only against blacks, but against so many - just ask an obese person. I certainly do not think that black people are still slaves. That's just silly.

No I think we moved past it. The only time I feel like a slave is when I am looking for a job......and I think its because I think the next person (White) has a better chance of getting it.

No. I do believe we all live in a society where, sadly, people are still largely judged by the color of their skin. In that respect, they are still oppressed by these prejudices, and have to work harder than people of other races to prove themselves. But to compare that to the true "slavery" of 150 years ago is ludicrous.
