Gay people do not keep mentioning Liza Minelli. This is yet another stereotype proliferated by mainstream media to continually put forth the stereotypes of a sanction of society. Just like the only African American people you see on TV are either "gangstas", the only southerners you see on TV are stupid white trash, and the only gay people you see on TV are lisp-talking, wrist-flapping, feather boa wearing, Liza Minelli-loving flamers.

She is the epitome of camp, not only was she in Cabaret alongside a very gay character, her mother is Judy Garland, and she keeps marrying gay men.

Thats a typical sterotype questions, broaden your outlook, why not ask why do straight women mention David Beckham all the time, or straight men mention Brooke Shields. Would you then really ask that question?

its all because of caberet-a movie that she was in a few years ago-i have no idea of the relevance of this other than to say its got fairly camp moments in it in places-youd have to ask a gay person to find out what all the fuss was about!!

Only gay people on TV sitcoms mention her.
