There is a trilogy called the Christ Clone Trilogy. It is quite emotional, and may be uncomfortable reading until the last novel, but they are certainly worth it. They are written by James BeauSeigneur.

The Life of Pi, By Yann Martel.
...don't know if he's christian, but he writes about religion in depth...Hinduism, Christianity, and Islam...a great read about faith in the face of a horrific tragedy. It makes anyone's faith stronger, whichever it may be.

i second the left behind series, by tim lahaye and jerry jenkins. a 12 book series that will knock your socks off!
