Aren't thoughts of the future and the past just that: thoughts/thought constructs? When the thought of the past or future disappears to wherever thoughts disappear to it's still now. The present isn't even in the now cuz thinking about the present is a thought too. Even when "tomorrow" comes it will be happening in the now. and on and on and.......
so what time is it really? Is there something more that we're not aware of here?

you should read about "xeno's paradox".

search for it on google. its a question asked by one mr. xeno 3000yrs back!!!!!

the question defies the concept of space.

this is what it is.....

between any two points there must be a centre point (or a distance)......

otherwise there cant be two points...rt?

okay.....if there are two points...logically there is always a space between them!

now, in that case.....how is it that two objects can touch each other????????

amazing isnt it?

how is it possible....unless.....

there is a spiritual realization hidden in this puzzle.....n i wudnt like to throw it away;) .....i'm sure if you tax your brain a bit you'll surely realise it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you already know it...

now ab time.....

time neither has a beginning nor an end.....

now.....something that doesnt have any physical matter, and something that doesnt have a beginning nor an end......does it exist?

time is a concept born in the human mind.....

it is always NOW!!!!!!!

no doubts about that;)

its memory that creates the notion of time....

scientists try to break the barrier of time through experiments.....

n lets face it.....they havent gone too far with it!

n then there are those spiritualists who broke the barrier of time with much ease.....through meditation.....

its in the mind......

Whoa, Linty!! You have my mind literally spinning here, just from reading your very thought-provoking, confusing, and interestingly curious question!! (No worries, just my aging mind trying to figure this out, really, lol.) :-) I'm honestly not sure that I can come even remotely close to giving a good answer here, but I shall try. Yes, thinking about the past, the future, and the present are indeed, thoughts. But, the past and the "now" have really happend, and are happening (haven't/aren't they?!?! We can only think about the future, but have absolutely no real idea of what is truly going to happen. We can imagine, we can plan, and we can even possibly, foresee (the gifted few), but we certainly can't know for sure! Who knows, perhaps everything that has happened, and is happening right now, is only a figment of our imagination! I am quite sure however, that there are most definitely, many things, that we aren't aware of yet, or shall ever be.

Okay, my poor pitiful mind is still reeling here, and if I try to think about your question any harder, I'm going to blow a gasket, lol. Time to go lie down I think, "groove" out to some tunes, ;), and relax. :)

Thanks for making me use what brain I still have, lol. ;)

Yes...simple thought but difficult to comprehend.

Read the book: NOW

FROM THE PUBLISHER
Eckhart Tolle is emerging as one of today's most inspiring teachers. In The Power of Now, a #1 national bestseller, the author describes his transition from despair to self-realization soon after his 29th birthday. Tolle took another ten years to understand this transformation, during which time he evolved a philosophy that has parallels in Buddhism, relaxation techniques, and meditation theory but is also eminently practical. In The Power of Now he shows readers how to recognize themselves as the creators of their own pain, and how to have a pain-free existence by living fully in the present. Accessing the deepest self, the true self, can be learned, he says, by freeing ourselves from the

talks about living in the second.

We spend too much energy in the past, or the future, but hardly any in the moment.

As humans with limits we cant properly measure time (or anything) so nothing is exact, "now" goes by so fast each letter spoken spans many "now" moments..
So I disagree, it is never NOW, at least not exactly

yeah I think about weird stuff like this too

Hi ..Of course..it is always"Now" ...
if we think, in the past..We do this, now! ...when we think about tomorrow, we do this, Now ...
So,we are living,"NOW"...
the future is tomorrow, but it is in a way happening, now...
Because, we are thinking, what we are going to do, tomorrow, today:) ..
In other words, "Now".. :))) ..

Kind regards! ..
