i think you should either go with an Gibson SG or maybe even a 60th anniverary Fender Stratacaster....if your going to get that make sure you get a Marshall amp.

hey man-hard to recommend anything really as its all down to the individuals taste i think-personally i feel that theres never been a better guitar made than the good old strat-classic,dependable and really versatile-lots cheaper than the gibson range too-guess it depends what you,re after-if you play send me some of your stuff and ill be nice or nasty about it depending on how good/cool it is!!nice to see somebody still hasnt given up on the guitar-its definately on the decrease and the only bands i get to see these days are all tribute out and out or derivative so if you think you got something cool for me to listen to then send me a file huh?good luck with the choosing and keep on rockin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could help you a lot if you could just specify some things.
What kind of tone are you after?
What is your budget?
What kind of pickups do you want ie. Hum/Single ?
What kind of bridge do you want?

Answer these and I can help.
