This is easy to do if you have a few partners on the go at the same time ??
If that is not the case then you have a problem it means you are not really looking for a close relationship, you are insecure, you need treatment!

I almost never forget things about those I am close too, but I notice that my two best friends frequently forget my name, Alex. A few weeks ago one of them called me Kevin (neither of us even knows a Kevin). They can't even remember their nicknames for me.
I don't take offence though, I know they love me, they're just too lazy to think sometimes.
When my grandfather was married to my grandmother he also had a long-term mistress who he 'kept' in a flat across town. Both women had the same name, so he avoided any potential mishaps. Not that I am advocating this behaviour!
