First I pulled the right one 4 months ago.Now the left one has a partial pull.I always stretch and light jog before playing?Any other preventative ideas?

You may not be stretching the right way, or you may need to do more to loosen up pre-game.

The achilles connects the the bottom of the heal. Stretching an achilles tear just makes it worse. I had a small tear on mine over a year ago playing soccer. I still feel it and have to take it easy on some activities. If it is realy bad surgury is required. Based on the location you described I don't think is the achilles but could be

You need to drink more water, keeping your body hydrated helps your muscles flex without pulls or cramps.

u need to stretch ur calf muscles before u play.
