It's not a pressure between your fingers and your eyes, it is a reflex and muscle movement in the space between your guys causing some tightness and tension within that space, resulting to you feeling like there is an invisible pressure. So, basically your eyes see something coming close to them, and so in order to protect your eye from being injured they get the muscles around your eye tense up, causing a tightness, so it feels like there is pressure, when in reality its just muscle tension and a way for your eyes to protect themselves.

When you do that, you are bringing two areas where your arua is very strong totgher, namely the pointer finger and the eyes. you can feel it in other areas, though the effect is lessened, and with others, but it is a bit harder to feel and requires some concentration. SOme have been desensitized to feeling aruas, and some just arent sensitive enough of things other than the first 5 senses

As a martial artist, I can tell you that there are indeed ways of using these invisble, pressure sensitive areas to actually knock someone out. It is called a "No Touch Knockout". Go to yahoo videos and search for it. I did not learn how to do this as it is a different style than I was taught.

Hypothetically speaking it is natural to feel pressure however slight. It is call "cell memory" all though you are not physically touching your cross point subconsciously it just seems to feel like the sensation of doing so. Mirror image is also a new term for the sensation

It's mostly likely a form of auto-suggestion.
Also, if you rubbed your fingers on some surface prior to doing this exercise, the finger doing the pointing might have a slight electrical charge - and you (via that "pressure point") might be sensitive enough to feel it.
