You should have a "Restore CD" that came with the computer. If you do not, you should check your hard drive for a (possibly hidden) partition that contains the CD data that you need to burn on to a blank CDR. After you've got the CD ready, as Shannon stated, it should step you through the process.
... If that doesn't work, dump a bunch of battery acid on it (something I want to do at least once a month). I can guaranttee that that'll erase the hard drive.

I think you can always run the recovery CD which came with the comp. when you first bought it, if not, Install windows on another drive , and from this drive run formatt to the older one.

u can format the whole hard disk but if u want to rest to the factory settings, thats not the answer
