4 years is such a long period of time and most of the players can’t make it to the next world cup. The world cup hold for only 1 month I find it very hard and frustrated for some of the national teams depending on their position and they put so much effort on very short period of time...

yes, FIFA should have the world cup every two years at least

Definitely no. Here's why:

1. It would interfere with the summer Olympics. Most World Cup teams play in that.
2. Not enough time for qualifiers.
3. Not enough time for players to train, so the World Cup would be much more predictable. Boring.
4. It would interfere with other championships.
5. The majority of these players play for clubs. If they're always training for the World Cup, when are they going to play for that? Besides, clubs are a big-money business.
6. It takes a really long time for the host nation to prepare. That is why they usually announce the hosts 6-7 years in advance.
7. The fact that it doesn't happen that often is what makes it so exciting and wonderful.
8. Having the World Cup every two years would mean having twice as many winners. The more winners you have, the less of an honor it is.

every two years would interfere with the Olympics. At the current state every four years falls inbetween the time that the Olympics would be held. Could you imagine playing in Two different world tournaments at the same time? Injuries, fatigue, split rateings. It would be devastating to the spectators!! it should be left as it is. The anticipation of the world cup is what makes it the most watched sporting event period!

I admit, you are correct. But it takes three years of competitions just to get the qualifiers for the Cup. I think a semi-practical solution for both international soccer committees and fans around the world would be to put the women's' cup two years after the men's' that way there would be a decent spacing for the fans and the national football organizations.

The World Soccer Championships are every four years, yes, but so at the European Soccer Championships. So you actually have the majority of countries participating in both every 2 years. I believe it is the same with the Summer and Winter Olympics, yes?

Yeah and get rid of the olympics! Actually, I think it's better if I continue to not watch the olympics and the world cup sticks with the 4 year format. You need time to do qualifying rounds, etc.

No, being every 4years is what make it very interesting

Also, I think that there is not enough time for the qualification stage, where the teams that will participate wins their right to play the world cup

Don't be silly. 2 years and there won't be enough time to even finish playing the QUALIFIERS!!! I admit that 4 years is too long a wait though, I would go for once every 3 years. That will be just just just nice!!! ;-]

Nope - as much as I love this competition, waiting 4 years is one of the things that makes it so special - it would also interfere with the European championships and championships from other areas of the world.
