Yes,that's completely normal. Some girls get their first period at 8 or 9 - some don't get it until they're 15 or 16. The average age is 12 or 13. The best way to figure out that you may start menstruating is to look for other signs of development, and ask your mother or older sister when they started.Everyone has her own "biological clock" and yours is different from everyone else's. So even if you feel like you'll never get your period, don't worry -- you will! Look for signs. First, your breasts may start to get bigger, hair may start to grow in the pubic area (between your legs), and a little later, in your armpits. During this time, (according to Dr. Kathleen Stone, who specialized in helping girls understand puberty and reproduction), you may notice a whitish discharge form your vagina. This is normal (and it's not urine, which comes from your urethra). A few months after that, you'll probably get your first period. When it actually begins, you might feel dampness on your underwear -- which is probably a few drops of blood.
So don't worry! You're most likely completely normal. If you have any other questions/concerns,feel free to email me(toxiics@yahoo.com).

Completely normal. Some girls develop early (like when they're 10 or 11... it does happen), and some don't get their first period until they are 16 or 17. Periods aren't all they're cracked up to be. Enjoy the fact that you don't have to deal with it yet. You'll be stuck with it for about 40 years anyway.

YES, everyone is different and every body is different. Count it a blessing for now, because soon you will get it EVERY MONTH.
I know it is a milestone that young girls look forward to, and you are wondering why others have it and you don't. Your body just is not ready yet, and when it is, then it will happen, just relax. You are normal and ok. But if you don't get it in the next two years or so, maybe check with your doctor just to be sure, your doctor is a good place to ask those kinds of questions and s/he can evaluate the maturity of your body and answer your questions.

If that is your only physical problem it's perfectly normal. Everyone reaches their maturity at different speeds. Many girls do not begin menstuation until they are 15 and 16, possibly later than that as well.
If you are fully matured in other physical ways, it might be a good idea to be alert to stomach or back aches or nausea and headaches. If this happens often, see a genecologisty. In fact, if you feel overly worried at not beginning this part of your life yet, you may like to speak with the gynecologist soon for peace of mind.

Girl let me tell u one thing you are your own person, Every woman has their own biological clock that tells them when they are going to start having their monthly's and to tell them when they are going to stop, (Menopause), so don't be in a rush to start having your period cause trust me it is a pain in the butt having to either wear a pad or have a tampon string hanging out of you all day and not to mention it can last anywhere from 3 days to about a week.. Also, when you start having your period and if you have intercourse you can get pregnant and just think of pregnancy as 18-20 years of being grounded, because not only do you have to worry about what you are doing for the day but you have a little child to care for and everything so, Don't be in a hurry to grow up, live your life day by day and week by week..So hunny, you are NORMAL..

Yes. Very normal. If you don't have it by 13, have your Mom or Dad take you to the Pediatrician just to make sure everything is on track.
My younger sister (who is now 44) was 13. My older sister (who is now 52) was 15. I had just turned 12.
I know girls get it younger now. My daughter was a week from being 12 when she got hers.
You can also go on WebMd if you want to look it up. But if you really are concerned, go see your Doctor.

That's prefectly normal. The normal age is 12-16 and sometimes 17. I got mine at 13. What's your rush anyway? It can be really painful at times. If you need it to tell you that you are finally a woman, then don't wait on it. It's not really that much fun to have it.

Very, very normal...Mother Nature doesn't pay any attention to the calendar or the clock....you'll start menstrating when your body is ready..so in the mean time, put it out of your mind and relax....
A word to the wise though...you should keep two or three pads with you in your school bag or locker or purse as sometimes there's no word or warning...
And if by chance, you are 'caught' out without 'supplies' don't be embarassed to ask for a pad from your friend, friend's mother; teacher or other adult. We've all been in your shoes at one time or another.
Good Luck!

Yep. Totally normal. didn't get mine until a few months after i turned 14. It totally sucks and I dread it every month. Enjoy not having it while you still can cause you'll hate it later. It's messy and all the cramps and bloating. What's the rush? I'd say give yourself a few more years before getting worried unless you really are concerned then go see your doctor.

This is normal. Some get their period earlier, some later. I was 13. You can always have your parents take you to the doctor if you are concerned, but I wouldn't be worried about it.
