try removing the cmos battery, disconnecteing the atx power connector, and holding down the start button for 30 seconds. This will discharge and reset the cmos on most computers

Believe it or not, it can be done. First you have to remove the battery. Then, since all the capacitors will have a small charge on them, you have to take a peice of wire and short the leads of all the capacitors. This involves removing the motherboard and finding the capacitors, but will do the trick.
