When I was 13 I used regular scotch tape to do the white tip, now you can find special Kits at Walmart to do it but now at 30 I'm a pro and actually do it without any tape or stickers. I do suggest that you put on a THIN coat of white, wait till it dries completely then ad another coat of THIN white. If it's too thick it can peel off easy and if you don't wait till it completely dries then the second coat can smudge the first coat and it will look like a mess. Be patient and it will come out beautiful. Good luck!

The best way is to buy a french manicure kit which turns out well.
Very clean afterwards:) Go to Target or Walgreens for this product.

Go and get the Sally Hansen French Manicure kit. It has the stickers, polish and overcoat. Make sure you pick up a good clear as well. Go step by step and it will all be fine.

File your nails first
Put on a clear base coat
Put on a two coats of pale pink
Paint the tips white
Put a top coat of clear nail polish to seal in the manicure and keeps it from chipping.

All manicures are the same. We put the word 'French' in there to sell it as something more than it is. Somethoing real fancy.
Just clip nails, file down, buff them and if there is any dis-coloration, use an opaque nail hardener.Push cuticals back. That's it.

Walgreens drug stores sell kits with tip guides that work great and are easy to use and look just like u went to da salon. Da brand name is Broadway and they keep them with the manicure tools section. Barely Buff is the best shade, the french pink comes out too pink. It costs about $2.99.

get a salley hansen home french manicure set, wal mart or any discount store, they are pretty decent. But it takes practice, especially if you do it on yourself

Get a white nail pen and draw a white line on the top of each fingernail! curiously stable! I do it each and all the time! Then whilst it dries, paint over the full nail with sparkling polish so the nail it vivid and the white section continues to be on longer!! have exciting!

If you go to a store that sells nail polish, next to the nail art they have "stickers" that you can place on your nail so that your line comes out evenly. Try that and hopefully it will work.

Sally Henson has a really nice DIY yourself kit that you can buy at almost any drug store. I have used it a few times on my toes and it turned out really nicely.
