You don't need a prescription for vitamins. However, if you are taking prescription medications it would be wise to discuss any over-the-counter pills you may be taking, including vitamins.

They have a One-A-Day vitamin called Centrum Silver, and I believe you are in the age bracket to take them. They are specially made for senior citizens, so you know you won't be taking too much, or too little of what you need. I know these are over the counter and can be purchased just about anywhere. If you go to Wal-mart they have variety of brands (including generic), that I'm sure are just as effective. You can definitely get a prescription for the multi-vitamins, you just really don't need to.

If they are over the counter vitamins, I guess it's okay. But take it in moderation. Read the literature that comes with the Vitamins. If you can , aska doctor,

Yes, vitamins are available in all grocery stores and drug stores. Also, I suggest you get one of the vitamins designed for people over 50. For example, Centrum makes a "silver" brand...

Of course you can, kid. I'm two years older than you and I've been taking multi vitamins for years. Now I take the ones especially for men that contain additional ingredients for heart and prostate health and I've never felt better.
