Funny you should ask. My birthday is tomorrow and I will be going grocery shopping. I doubt anyone in my family will remember my birthday anyway so I will just ignore it and pretend it never happened. Then my feelings won't be hurt. Just another day. By the way, the first birthday party I ever had (and the only one) was a surprise party by my co-workers 8 years ago. Unfotunately,I don't work there any more but it was an awesome party I'll never forget.

I see no point in celebrating birthdays. In Bible times, the only people who celebrated birthdays were the pagans and the gentiles...

Last year, we celebrated by going out in the afternoon to see a movie and have dinner on his birthday and then having dinner out on mine. (We are exactly a week apart.) His was the bigger deal because with our son, we hadn't been out like that for months and I don't think we'd seen a movie since he'd been born. (He's almost 3.) He and my dad had a great day together and DH and I had a mini-vacation.

I celebrate by going in my room and curling up in a ball crying. My family never celebrates it since it is so close to Thanksgiving. Like this year...it is on thanksgiving. I so hate it too...I dread the holiday and my own b-day.

I don't celebrate my birthday anymore. I just concentrate on my kids birthdays.

If you truly understand, i celebrate by being the best me that i can be , truly living life to its fullest, cherishing all i have to offer and accepting and honouring all i have been given and have yet to be given. i do this everyday. but for the complete opposite of your question, i dont celebrate my actaul day of birth anymore, but just celebrating life is just fine and as important. How about you?

I always take the day off from work...if it's a weekend then I take Friday off...and I sleep in and then go shopping for a birthday gift and then go out to dinner with my honey somewhere fancy.

My family and I celebrate quietly. Since I'm 'middle aged' I don't much like to broadcast out to the world that I'm another year older!
