I agree with you. There is alot of adult themed Q's and A's but how would you censor the content? I think the parents should monitor their children's computer activity. Any Q I see that I think is from a child asking about sex or other adult topics I answer by telling them to ask their parents.

Yahoo! tries to filter stuff out, like you can't type in sh_t. They also try to censor and remove some of the more objectionable questions, and if a person is getting too dirty you can report the abuse (look to the left under their image).
The Internet (and Yahoo!Answers) are just too big to censor. Kids and parents should know this going in. Schools try to use software that blocks certain websites based on naughty keywords, and parents can get these programs, but the filters might not all the objectionable questions. So children; proceed at your own risk.
I don't want to censor the Internet, I even want to be able to find the child porn sites (so I can report them). How old a child has to be if they go onto Yahoo!Answers is a question for the parents to decide. A good parent will look at his/hers child's history to find out what they are doing. They can then find out if the child is abusing the Internet (or Yahoo!Answers).
However Kids Yahoo!Answers might be a good idea. Just like they should have a KidsMySpace, but people can lie about their age and still post objectionable subjects.

The rule on Yahoo! is that you have to be 20 or older to sign up. If you are mature enough OK, but if not probably you should not. other people might lie about their age and might be 10 or 9 instead and some Questions and inappropriate and i think age 10 or 9 is not good age to be answering theses questions unless you are really mature.

No, it's not. There are people who ask questions that are disgusting, and people who give terrible answers. If a young person read these and thought it was true, simply because it was on the Internet....well, it's like all websites. Under a certain age should be monitored. Some OVER a certain age should be monitored!!

Of course not. I work at a day care center and I wouldn't want the kids to see this kind of stuff. I think it's appropriate for people aged 13 and up because come on, you know you were already familiar with this kind of stuff at 13, admit it!

No. I would not let anyone under 18 into this site because of the nature of some of the questions. Even with guidelines there are people who try to sneak their perverted questions in here.

I think they should make a kids section...its definitely not appropriate for children....of course I think it's probably the under 14 crowd asking most of the dirtiest and most innapropriate questions in the first place!
Yahoo! can't do anything about it really, where are the PARENTS?!?!?!
