I like both, but with the dog it deoends on which breed u go for, as for cats well thats a different story,they can either b very friendly or a rule unto themselves, our first cat was a stray kitten & he gave us 18 years of pleasure, our next was a rescue cat, he was 10 when we adopted him & had him foe another 7 yrs, then we had another2 rescue cats Max & Mitzie aged 10 & 12 they lasted six years, which brings us 2 our lates rescue cat he is 10 years old & called Thomas, he comes everywhere with us, doesnt like being left behind, so i think our favourites are cats

Ive got 2 cats and 2 dogs...i love them all but i think i prefer my dogs, only because when i come home, the dogs are excited to see me, they protect my house and my 3 children, they're amusing when they get playful and they are loyal to the bone! all you do in return is feed and walk them- But cats...
i love my cats, only they wouldnt care if they went somewhere else to get fed if i didnt feed them on time, they dont care whose house they curl up in at night to go to sleep, they arent very loyal really! they cant protect my house or my kids...they just do silly things and end up costing a fortune in the vets for it!!
Still, i wouldnt be without any of them!!!

Dogs my lab is 21 this October and time to party she loves a very small beer and a bag of crisps on a saturday night and the vet thinks thats why she is living so long as she is very happy and pampered
